Narrative:

A friend of mine referred me to a motel chain to do some aerial photos. While shooting the photos a 4/thurs/92 over the north edge of emporia, ks, at about PM30 local I was reported by an emporia detective as flying too low. I tried to maintain an altitude of 2100 ft to 2500 ft to shoot the pictures. Emp is about 1100 ft MSL. I have a very loud small aircraft engine with tail pipe extensions and everyone tells me it will really rattle your windows. I think the noise startled the people on the ground. Anyhow, they were waiting for me on the ground and reported me immediately to the FAA. I also do not charge for aerial photos except the actual cost of the pictures, nothing more. I'm the president of the kansas pilots assn in this area and do not break the rules.
