Narrative:
Autoplt coupled approach. Everything normal. At about 1800 ft AGL noted slight GS deviation autoplt tried to correct but overloaded then went into up and down gyrations exceeding 1000 FPM. Executed manual missed approach and diverted to alternate airport. Tower controller advised us of low altitude alert as we were starting the missed approach. Old style manufacturer model autoplt.
