Narrative:
Engine compressor stalled on liftoff and then once again shortly after. At this time I pulled the effected engine throttle to about 1/2 power it ran for about 15-20 seconds and then failed. We declared an emergency. Stayed in the pattern, did the emergency procedures for engine failure. We were handled very well by the msp tower as we came back around for our landing. An overweight landing was made.
