Narrative:

We were just leveling 9000 MSL approaching suzzi on civet 2 profile descent when we hit violent wake turbulence which rolled us to the right past 30 degrees of bank. I told first officer to ease it to the right, checked TCASII and looked visually, saw no apparent traffic. I called ATC, told him deviating right, he said call approach. I switched to approach, told him of deviation and he cleared us for ILS 24R which we were near to intercepting. We then flew a normal ILS 24R to landing. This was the worst wake turbulence I have experienced, and it lasted longer than expected through our turn.
