Narrative:
I was flying an small aircraft aircraft over del mar. I circled a house at approximately 1150 ft MSL for approximately 5 mins, and I was accused of flying at an altitude of 500 ft AGL, which is not true. The aircraft in question is dominant color white with 1 ft by 3 ft n-numbers written in high visibility blue and red. I am told by the FAA that these numbers cannot be read above 500 ft AGL. I found this untrue with this aircraft as I could see the n-numbers at myf's traffic pattern altitude of approximately 1300 ft. The judgement to this date is still in litigation.
