First officer left assigned 11000 ft altitude and climbed to 11700 ft when TCASII gave 'clear of conflict.' first officer descended back to 11000 ft. Meanwhile, captain informed approach control of the TCASII RA and our actions. Approach advised the traffic was an aircraft departing dfw and climbing to 10000 ft MSL.
