Narrative:
Received traffic report by ATC. Saw traffic pass south of our position. TCASII gave TA followed by RA. Followed RA as per company directives. Climbed from 26000 to 26700 prior to receiving clear of conflict. I believe this TCASII RA was unnecessary, but we followed proper procedure, then notified ATC and then the company. TCASII software needs much improvement if we are to trust it.

Narrative: RECEIVED TFC RPT BY ATC. SAW TFC PASS S OF OUR POS. TCASII GAVE TA FOLLOWED BY RA. FOLLOWED RA AS PER COMPANY DIRECTIVES. CLBED FROM 26000 TO 26700 PRIOR TO RECEIVING CLR OF CONFLICT. I BELIEVE THIS TCASII RA WAS UNNECESSARY, BUT WE FOLLOWED PROPER PROC, THEN NOTIFIED ATC AND THEN THE COMPANY. TCASII SOFTWARE NEEDS MUCH IMPROVEMENT IF WE ARE TO TRUST IT.
