Narrative:
While practicing a touch-and-go landing at lebanon airport (S30), plane bounced and entered porpoise. Attempted at first to salvage the landing, but porpoise continued. Decided to abort landing and made a normal takeoff recovery (full power, climb attitude and airspeed, flaps up). Returned to home field, corvallis (cvo) and made normal landing. Upon examination of plane, found propeller tips to be slightly bent indicating that propeller must have struck the runway during bounce at lebanon. No other apparent damage. No injuries.
Original NASA ASRS Text
Title: PRIVATE PLT OF SMA ACFT BOUNCED DURING TOUCH AND GO LNDG AND STRUCK PROP.
Narrative: WHILE PRACTICING A TOUCH-AND-GO LNDG AT LEBANON ARPT (S30), PLANE BOUNCED AND ENTERED PORPOISE. ATTEMPTED AT FIRST TO SALVAGE THE LNDG, BUT PORPOISE CONTINUED. DECIDED TO ABORT LNDG AND MADE A NORMAL TKOF RECOVERY (FULL PWR, CLB ATTITUDE AND AIRSPD, FLAPS UP). RETURNED TO HOME FIELD, CORVALLIS (CVO) AND MADE NORMAL LNDG. UPON EXAMINATION OF PLANE, FOUND PROP TIPS TO BE SLIGHTLY BENT INDICATING THAT PROP MUST HAVE STRUCK THE RWY DURING BOUNCE AT LEBANON. NO OTHER APPARENT DAMAGE. NO INJURIES.
