Narrative:
Heavy taxiway traffic and radio frequency congestion. At night, in an area of much recent construction, I apparently mistook the twig intersection for the full length run-up area of 27L. Tower had issued takeoff clearance twice as we taxied east on the parallel and after a brief comment or question on our entrance to the runway cleared us a third time. Flight departed without incident. On reviewing events later we concluded that we had departed from twig rather than full length. Although the airport was very busy, no one was in front of us on this particular route. Tower was obviously eager to get rid of us. Twig, which joins the cargo, parallel and 27L had been constructed since I'd been in that location and I was aware of the danger of continuing too far on the parallel which passes the end of 27L and continues to 22L.

Title: MLG DEPARTS AT RWY INTXN INSTEAD OF RWY END.
Narrative: HVY TAXIWAY TFC AND RADIO FREQ CONGESTION. AT NIGHT, IN AN AREA OF MUCH RECENT CONSTRUCTION, I APPARENTLY MISTOOK THE TWIG INTXN FOR THE FULL LENGTH RUN-UP AREA OF 27L. TWR HAD ISSUED TKOF CLRNC TWICE AS WE TAXIED E ON THE PARALLEL AND AFTER A BRIEF COMMENT OR QUESTION ON OUR ENTRANCE TO THE RWY CLRED US A THIRD TIME. FLT DEPARTED WITHOUT INCIDENT. ON REVIEWING EVENTS LATER WE CONCLUDED THAT WE HAD DEPARTED FROM TWIG RATHER THAN FULL LENGTH. ALTHOUGH THE ARPT WAS VERY BUSY, NO ONE WAS IN FRONT OF US ON THIS PARTICULAR RTE. TWR WAS OBVIOUSLY EAGER TO GET RID OF US.
