Narrative:
We were taxiing to runway 23 at cre when according to our airport diagram, the taxiway stopped and did not go all the way to the end. However, arriving at the point we thought if stopped, we noticed that it continued or seemed to continue. At that point I thought I could continue but the first officer said that the taxiway stopped, so I immediately turned the aircraft at the point the chart indicated. I was unable to stop short of the hold short lines. We did not taxi onto the runway. I feel if the airport charts had been accurate this would not have happened! I possibly could have stopped short, however, I didn't see a need for emergency evasive type action. Both government and commercial charts inaccurately depict this airport! Callback conversation with reporter revealed the following information: reporter states he has not done any follow up with government or commercial publishers. Now feels he should have because once at his home base there was a chart problem. He called commercial publishers and a change was made quite promptly.

Title: CORP ACFT TAXIES BEYOND HOLD LINE AS FO, LOOKING AT ARPT DIAGRAM SAYS TAXIWAY DOES NOT CONTINUE, TURN!
Narrative: WE WERE TAXIING TO RWY 23 AT CRE WHEN ACCORDING TO OUR ARPT DIAGRAM, THE TAXIWAY STOPPED AND DID NOT GO ALL THE WAY TO THE END. HOWEVER, ARRIVING AT THE POINT WE THOUGHT IF STOPPED, WE NOTICED THAT IT CONTINUED OR SEEMED TO CONTINUE. AT THAT POINT I THOUGHT I COULD CONTINUE BUT THE FO SAID THAT THE TAXIWAY STOPPED, SO I IMMEDIATELY TURNED THE ACFT AT THE POINT THE CHART INDICATED. I WAS UNABLE TO STOP SHORT OF THE HOLD SHORT LINES. WE DID NOT TAXI ONTO THE RWY. I FEEL IF THE ARPT CHARTS HAD BEEN ACCURATE THIS WOULD NOT HAVE HAPPENED! I POSSIBLY COULD HAVE STOPPED SHORT, HOWEVER, I DIDN'T SEE A NEED FOR EMER EVASIVE TYPE ACTION. BOTH GOV AND COMMERCIAL CHARTS INACCURATELY DEPICT THIS ARPT! CALLBACK CONVERSATION WITH RPTR REVEALED THE FOLLOWING INFO: RPTR STATES HE HAS NOT DONE ANY FOLLOW UP WITH GOV OR COMMERCIAL PUBLISHERS. NOW FEELS HE SHOULD HAVE BECAUSE ONCE AT HIS HOME BASE THERE WAS A CHART PROBLEM. HE CALLED COMMERCIAL PUBLISHERS AND A CHANGE WAS MADE QUITE PROMPTLY.
