Narrative:
No field lighting is available at olm airport after exiting the primary runway. During sunset, taxiways and secondary runway not visible from the tower. Pilot taxied off the taxiways into a field, had to shut down and push himself back onto a paved surface. No damage or injury reported. He appeared to be taxiing too fast for being unfamiliar to airport and in dark conditions on the unlit taxiways. I think airport management could improve field lighting to prevent recurrence.
