Narrative:
We landed from the 1W 4R approach to newark on runway 4R, visibility was restr due to light rain. We were cleared to land over the OM. During approach I heard several aircraft ahead told to 'roll to the end, cross runway 29, contact ground.' as we landed and taxied clear on taxiway 'G' (golf), we noticed an medium large transport ahead which appeared to still be on the runway. It seems to me that the tower is courting disaster with the common clearance to 'roll to the end.'

Title: AN ACR LTT LANDED, WITH TWR CLRNC, ON A RWY THAT WAS STILL OCCUPIED.
Narrative: WE LANDED FROM THE 1W 4R APCH TO NEWARK ON RWY 4R, VISIBILITY WAS RESTR DUE TO LIGHT RAIN. WE WERE CLRED TO LAND OVER THE OM. DURING APCH I HEARD SEVERAL ACFT AHEAD TOLD TO 'ROLL TO THE END, CROSS RWY 29, CONTACT GND.' AS WE LANDED AND TAXIED CLR ON TAXIWAY 'G' (GOLF), WE NOTICED AN MLG AHEAD WHICH APPEARED TO STILL BE ON THE RWY. IT SEEMS TO ME THAT THE TWR IS COURTING DISASTER WITH THE COMMON CLRNC TO 'ROLL TO THE END.'
