Narrative:
Columbus approach gave us clearance void time (cvt) after issuing an IFR clearance at gtr airport at OX25 local. OX31 was cvt. After departure, we contacted columbus approach. Following sign on, they advised us that our cvt was '31' and it was now '33 3/4' (mins). We advised them that we showed '31' on our clock when we took off. Columbus approach then advised us that we needed to get our clocks checked. We acknowledged. End of story. Bottom line: approach has no way of knowing when we departed the airfield, which was OX31 (cvt).
