Narrative:
Passenger in-flight medical emergency. We had to divert to chs en route from lga to mia due to a passenger illness. Due to this in-flight medical emergency, after declaring an emergency with center, and a need to land as soon as possible, airspeed below 10000 ft exceeded 250 KTS. ATC (chs approach) was advised. All ATC was normal, handling was excellent and expeditious to our situation. Flight landed normally, medical assistance was standing by and after taking the passenger off the plane flight continued to mia.
