Narrative:

This is to notify NASA that the FAA is forcing a new procedure on the controllers at jeffco tower, called 'silent coordination.' this effectively and consistently jeopardizes aviation safety! Though in a 'test mode,' the new procedure basically allows denver radar to 'advise' jeffco tower of IFR inbounds, without any assurance or acknowledgement that we, jeffco tower, actually know about the inbound. This entire procedure has increased the workload of the jeffco controllers, decreased the workload of denver approach controllers, and jeopardized aviation safety around jeffco airport.

Title: ATCT TRACON INTRAFAC COORD NEW PROC SILENT COORD.

Narrative: THIS IS TO NOTIFY NASA THAT THE FAA IS FORCING A NEW PROC ON THE CTLRS AT JEFFCO TWR, CALLED 'SILENT COORD.' THIS EFFECTIVELY AND CONSISTENTLY JEOPARDIZES AVIATION SAFETY! THOUGH IN A 'TEST MODE,' THE NEW PROC BASICALLY ALLOWS DENVER RADAR TO 'ADVISE' JEFFCO TWR OF IFR INBOUNDS, WITHOUT ANY ASSURANCE OR ACKNOWLEDGEMENT THAT WE, JEFFCO TWR, ACTUALLY KNOW ABOUT THE INBOUND. THIS ENTIRE PROC HAS INCREASED THE WORKLOAD OF THE JEFFCO CTLRS, DECREASED THE WORKLOAD OF DENVER APCH CTLRS, AND JEOPARDIZED AVIATION SAFETY AROUND JEFFCO ARPT.
