Narrative:
Told by FAA to drain automatic gas and fuel with AVGAS prior to operation of aircraft. Automatic gas was drained into 5 gallon cans and 6 1/2 gallons of 100LL put in aircraft. I moved aircraft from benton to enterprise, approximately 5 mi, and filled it up with 80/87 to find that the entire capacity was not met. Therefore some automatic gas must not have drained in the 3 point attitude of the tail dragger aircraft. The next day I drained another aircraft of automatic gas and replaced with 80/87. No stc's on either aircraft. Both aircraft are obtaining 'stc's' for automatic fuel.

Title: PRIVATELY OWNED ACFT FUELED WITH AUTO GAS AND REQUIRED BY FAA IN RAMP CHK TO REPLACE FUEL WITH AVGAS OR INSTALL STC MODIFICATION FOR OPS WITH AUTO GAS.
Narrative: TOLD BY FAA TO DRAIN AUTO GAS AND FUEL WITH AVGAS PRIOR TO OP OF ACFT. AUTO GAS WAS DRAINED INTO 5 GALLON CANS AND 6 1/2 GALLONS OF 100LL PUT IN ACFT. THEREFORE SOME AUTO GAS MUST NOT HAVE DRAINED IN THE 3 POINT ATTITUDE OF THE TAIL DRAGGER ACFT. THE NEXT DAY I DRAINED ANOTHER ACFT OF AUTO GAS AND REPLACED WITH 80/87. NO STC'S ON EITHER ACFT. BOTH ACFT ARE OBTAINING 'STC'S' FOR AUTO FUEL.
