Narrative:
Summary: ATC vectored us into oncoming traffic at FL350. (All distances stated are approximately.) 70 NM north of irq VOR, FL330, assigned heading of 185 degrees (for alma VOR), ATC requested us to climb to FL350 for traffic. Prior to reaching FL350, ATC requested left turn to 150 degrees for traffic. After level at FL350, ATC requested left turn to 090 degrees (95 degrees off course!) for traffic. During turn, received TCASII TA showing traffic at 10 O'clock, same altitude, sbound. TA became RA, requiring descent. Descended approximately 400 ft, and advised ATC. ATC's only response was 'traffic at FL330, return to FL350.' after asking, ATC advised separation was 3 mi, nothing further said. ATC never called out 'crossing traffic.' ATC could have helped by calling our crossing traffic, especially since they vectored us into him, assuming expected loss of min separation. Frequency change during climb might also have contributed to 'confusion.'

Title: ACR VECTORED INTO PATH OF SECOND ACR HAS TCASII TA THEN RA.
Narrative: SUMMARY: ATC VECTORED US INTO ONCOMING TFC AT FL350. (ALL DISTANCES STATED ARE APPROX.) 70 NM N OF IRQ VOR, FL330, ASSIGNED HDG OF 185 DEGS (FOR ALMA VOR), ATC REQUESTED US TO CLB TO FL350 FOR TFC. PRIOR TO REACHING FL350, ATC REQUESTED L TURN TO 150 DEGS FOR TFC. AFTER LEVEL AT FL350, ATC REQUESTED L TURN TO 090 DEGS (95 DEGS OFF COURSE!) FOR TFC. DURING TURN, RECEIVED TCASII TA SHOWING TFC AT 10 O'CLOCK, SAME ALT, SBOUND. TA BECAME RA, REQUIRING DSCNT. DSNDED APPROX 400 FT, AND ADVISED ATC. ATC'S ONLY RESPONSE WAS 'TFC AT FL330, RETURN TO FL350.' AFTER ASKING, ATC ADVISED SEPARATION WAS 3 MI, NOTHING FURTHER SAID. ATC NEVER CALLED OUT 'XING TFC.' ATC COULD HAVE HELPED BY CALLING OUR XING TFC, ESPECIALLY SINCE THEY VECTORED US INTO HIM, ASSUMING EXPECTED LOSS OF MIN SEPARATION. FREQ CHANGE DURING CLB MIGHT ALSO HAVE CONTRIBUTED TO 'CONFUSION.'
