Narrative:
I arrived stormville airport, stormville, ny. Single engine small aircraft, no wind condition and cavu. Landed without incident, off the runway for a few moments. Returned for takeoff on an access strip which intersects the active at right angle and is about mid field. Normal run up, announced I was leaving on runway 6, took the active, ran about 20 ft and was hit rear center on rudder and fin. Student pilot said he saw me at intersection as he turned onto final. I heard no radio from him, he reports he heard none from me. A more experienced pilot would have gone around or landed along side. I believe low sunlight at this time of day may have caused my not seeing him, as I cleared the area prior to taking the active. I departed on runway 24 a short time later with an airline captain in a twin and he remarked that runway was impossible to see. I would recommend no intersection takeoffs at these non controled fields. 2 pilots heard my transmission announcing my entry onto the active runway. A very recent snowfall and fact that aircraft was white may have hindered seeing approaching aircraft.

I DEPARTED ON RWY 24 A SHORT TIME LATER WITH AN AIRLINE CAPT IN A TWIN AND HE REMARKED THAT RWY WAS IMPOSSIBLE TO SEE. I WOULD RECOMMEND NO INTXN TKOFS AT THESE NON CTLED FIELDS. 2 PLTS HEARD MY XMISSION ANNOUNCING MY ENTRY ONTO THE ACTIVE RWY. A VERY RECENT SNOWFALL AND FACT THAT ACFT WAS WHITE MAY HAVE HINDERED SEEING APCHING ACFT.
