Narrative:
Climbing out of 15000 ft we suddenly heard a loud noise, followed by airframe vibration. Found that #1 engine was the source of the vibration and had lost partial power. We shut down #1 engine and returned to ord for a normal landing. We did not declare an emergency as the aircraft was performing flawlessly, ord WX was excellent, and no other problems occurred.
