Narrative:
Takeoff weight was just over maximum (by 400 pounds). We elected to takeoff 400 pounds of bags to be at certificate limit. We were also discussing whether we had enough fuel to go around WX en route and still have enough fuel at destination to be legal (and alternate). We had to use runway 8 (10000 ft long). Due to focusing on weight and fuel related problems, I mixed up runway 8 (10000 ft) and runway 10 (8000 ft). I asked the copilot to request runway 10. The takeoff roll was too close to the end. Review and analysis in cruise revealed our mistake, pretty dumb error. Supplemental information from acn 234346: crew reviewed the takeoff in cruise. We realized we mixed up runway 8 (10000 ft) and runway 10 (8000 ft). Big mistake. Had we had an engine failure anywhere near V1 we would have had an accident. Learned several lessons from this one. Supplemental information from acn 234231: it was a legal takeoff on runway 8 which is 10000 ft long. Captain came back from phone conversation with dispatch, said we're good for 10.

Title: RWY WT LIMITATION EXCEEDED ON TKOF.
Narrative: TKOF WT WAS JUST OVER MAX (BY 400 LBS). WE ELECTED TO TKOF 400 LBS OF BAGS TO BE AT CERTIFICATE LIMIT. WE WERE ALSO DISCUSSING WHETHER WE HAD ENOUGH FUEL TO GAR WX ENRTE AND STILL HAVE ENOUGH FUEL AT DEST TO BE LEGAL (AND ALTERNATE). WE HAD TO USE RWY 8 (10000 FT LONG). DUE TO FOCUSING ON WT AND FUEL RELATED PROBS, I MIXED UP RWY 8 (10000 FT) AND RWY 10 (8000 FT). I ASKED THE COPLT TO REQUEST RWY 10. THE TKOF ROLL WAS TOO CLOSE TO THE END. REVIEW AND ANALYSIS IN CRUISE REVEALED OUR MISTAKE, PRETTY DUMB ERROR. SUPPLEMENTAL INFO FROM ACN 234346: CREW REVIEWED THE TKOF IN CRUISE. WE REALIZED WE MIXED UP RWY 8 (10000 FT) AND RWY 10 (8000 FT). BIG MISTAKE. HAD WE HAD AN ENG FAILURE ANYWHERE NEAR V1 WE WOULD HAVE HAD AN ACCIDENT. LEARNED SEVERAL LESSONS FROM THIS ONE. SUPPLEMENTAL INFO FROM ACN 234231: IT WAS A LEGAL TKOF ON RWY 8 WHICH IS 10000 FT LONG. CAPT CAME BACK FROM PHONE CONVERSATION WITH DISPATCH, SAID WE'RE GOOD FOR 10.
