Narrative:
Aircraft patrol of dry creek area looking for wolf kill sites and moose injured by wolf activity. Contour flying trails and river (dry creek) at an altitude of 50-100 ft above tree level. Ground speed approximately 70 KTS. Followed trail and tracks across blair lakes and followed trail and tracks and observed 3 moose near old observation tower. At this point I heard a noise and observed a jet pass higher and to my left at a high rate of speed (unable to guess separation distance, jet's speed considerable). No avoidance maneuvers by jet, I turned right and descended toward blair lakes and departed the area. No transponder in aircraft, flight plan filed for the area. At time of incident I was monitoring 118.1 -- fairbanks approach control, but not talking to them. Possible my low level flying and poor radar target aircraft and high speed of jet, that my aircraft was not observed by the other aircraft. I did not contact approach control to see if range was hot prior to my flight. I should have paid more attention to where I was rather than what I was doing.

Title: UNAUTH PENETRATION OF AIRSPACE IN PROX OF RESTRICTED AREA LEADS TO AN NMAC.
Narrative: ACFT PATROL OF DRY CREEK AREA LOOKING FOR WOLF KILL SITES AND MOOSE INJURED BY WOLF ACTIVITY. CONTOUR FLYING TRAILS AND RIVER (DRY CREEK) AT AN ALT OF 50-100 FT ABOVE TREE LEVEL. GND SPD APPROX 70 KTS. FOLLOWED TRAIL AND TRACKS ACROSS BLAIR LAKES AND FOLLOWED TRAIL AND TRACKS AND OBSERVED 3 MOOSE NEAR OLD OBSERVATION TWR. AT THIS POINT I HEARD A NOISE AND OBSERVED A JET PASS HIGHER AND TO MY L AT A HIGH RATE OF SPD (UNABLE TO GUESS SEPARATION DISTANCE, JET'S SPD CONSIDERABLE). NO AVOIDANCE MANEUVERS BY JET, I TURNED R AND DSNDED TOWARD BLAIR LAKES AND DEPARTED THE AREA. NO XPONDER IN ACFT, FLT PLAN FILED FOR THE AREA. AT TIME OF INCIDENT I WAS MONITORING 118.1 -- FAIRBANKS APCH CTL, BUT NOT TALKING TO THEM. POSSIBLE MY LOW LEVEL FLYING AND POOR RADAR TARGET ACFT AND HIGH SPD OF JET, THAT MY ACFT WAS NOT OBSERVED BY THE OTHER ACFT. I DID NOT CONTACT APCH CTL TO SEE IF RANGE WAS HOT PRIOR TO MY FLT. I SHOULD HAVE PAID MORE ATTN TO WHERE I WAS RATHER THAN WHAT I WAS DOING.
