Narrative:
Made 15 mi flight from C77 to cottonwood airport (1c8) for breakfast. Cottonwood has 1 n-s turf runway and airport was closed due to soft runway conditions. X's were snow fences laid in grass. At the time, tall grass and dandelions covered the X's. Talked to owner of airport and he said it was ok to takeoff if I stayed on west side of runway.
