Narrative:
I took off from 7g0, ledgedale, ny, and climbed to 2000 ft MSL. While well outside of the airport traffic pattern, south of the town of holley, ny, I performed the following maneuvers: steep turns, chandelles, and lazy 8's. I am familiar with the area, however, I did not have a sectional on board. After returning to 7g0 and looking at the detroit sectional chart, I realized I was only 2 mi north of the centerline of V31, and therefore, possibly in violation of far 91.303. If I had had a chart on board, and had thought to check it, I would have flown further north to perform these maneuvers. Contributing factors: complacency, and an effort to save dollars, i.e., stay as close to the airport as possible.

Narrative: I TOOK OFF FROM 7G0, LEDGEDALE, NY, AND CLBED TO 2000 FT MSL. WHILE WELL OUTSIDE OF THE ARPT TFC PATTERN, S OF THE TOWN OF HOLLEY, NY, I PERFORMED THE FOLLOWING MANEUVERS: STEEP TURNS, CHANDELLES, AND LAZY 8'S. I AM FAMILIAR WITH THE AREA, HOWEVER, I DID NOT HAVE A SECTIONAL ON BOARD. AFTER RETURNING TO 7G0 AND LOOKING AT THE DETROIT SECTIONAL CHART, I REALIZED I WAS ONLY 2 MI N OF THE CTRLINE OF V31, AND THEREFORE, POSSIBLY IN VIOLATION OF FAR 91.303. IF I HAD HAD A CHART ON BOARD, AND HAD THOUGHT TO CHK IT, I WOULD HAVE FLOWN FURTHER N TO PERFORM THESE MANEUVERS. CONTRIBUTING FACTORS: COMPLACENCY, AND AN EFFORT TO SAVE DOLLARS, I.E., STAY AS CLOSE TO THE ARPT AS POSSIBLE.
