Narrative:
Closures of west ramp taxiway, runway 17/35 and taxiway H leave no suitable taxi route from the south to the west ramp. Aircraft must either cross runway 12R/30L, cross runway 4/22, taxi via the north ramp (acrs), and then cross runway 12R/30L again, or taxi via active runway 12R/30L across runway 4/22 to taxiway F. Option 1 increases coordination and number of xings. Option 2 ties up an active runway with aircraft taxiing.
Original NASA ASRS Text
Title: ATC CTLR AT LARGE COMPLEX ARPT COMPLAINT WITH REGARD TO THE TXWY ROUTING NECESSARY DUE TO TXWY RAMP CLOSURE.
Narrative: CLOSURES OF W RAMP TXWY, RWY 17/35 AND TXWY H LEAVE NO SUITABLE TAXI RTE FROM THE S TO THE W RAMP. ACFT MUST EITHER CROSS RWY 12R/30L, CROSS RWY 4/22, TAXI VIA THE N RAMP (ACRS), AND THEN CROSS RWY 12R/30L AGAIN, OR TAXI VIA ACTIVE RWY 12R/30L ACROSS RWY 4/22 TO TXWY F. OPTION 1 INCREASES COORD AND NUMBER OF XINGS. OPTION 2 TIES UP AN ACTIVE RWY WITH ACFT TAXIING.
