Narrative:

Recently the FAA imposed upon us the requirement to service engine oil with less than 2.0 gallons remaining at non maintenance base airports and with less than 2.5 gallons remaining at maintenance bases and on all overnights even if at a non maintenance base. In the rush of the evolution, preflting the aircraft, reviewing 2 MEL deferred items, etc, I apparently missed an open write-up asking for oil servicing on engine #2. We flew 4 legs with this open write-up although we were indicating between 2.0 and 2.2 gallons of oil which meets the FAA minimum oil for flight requirement.

Title: ACFT FLOWN WITH AN OPEN ITEM IN THE ACFT LOGBOOK.

Narrative: RECENTLY THE FAA IMPOSED UPON US THE REQUIREMENT TO SVC ENG OIL WITH LESS THAN 2.0 GALLONS REMAINING AT NON MAINT BASE ARPTS AND WITH LESS THAN 2.5 GALLONS REMAINING AT MAINT BASES AND ON ALL OVERNIGHTS EVEN IF AT A NON MAINT BASE. IN THE RUSH OF THE EVOLUTION, PREFLTING THE ACFT, REVIEWING 2 MEL DEFERRED ITEMS, ETC, I APPARENTLY MISSED AN OPEN WRITE-UP ASKING FOR OIL SVCING ON ENG #2. WE FLEW 4 LEGS WITH THIS OPEN WRITE-UP ALTHOUGH WE WERE INDICATING BTWN 2.0 AND 2.2 GALLONS OF OIL WHICH MEETS THE FAA MINIMUM OIL FOR FLT REQUIREMENT.
