Narrative:
While on vector to initial approach fix (frugl) for ILS runway 14 approach at srq, crew received TCASII RA with descend command. Aircraft was level at assigned altitude of 1600 ft and had been cleared for approach. Crew disengaged autoplt descended aircraft to 1200 ft, which removed traffic conflict. Aircraft sighted visually. Continued with ILS approach to uneventful landing.

Title: ALTDEV ALT EXCURSION DURING RADAR VECTORING APCH AFTER TCASII RA RECEIVED.
Narrative: WHILE ON VECTOR TO INITIAL APCH FIX (FRUGL) FOR ILS RWY 14 APCH AT SRQ, CREW RECEIVED TCASII RA WITH DSND COMMAND. ACFT WAS LEVEL AT ASSIGNED ALT OF 1600 FT AND HAD BEEN CLRED FOR APCH. CREW DISENGAGED AUTOPLT DSNDED ACFT TO 1200 FT, WHICH REMOVED TFC CONFLICT. ACFT SIGHTED VISUALLY. CONTINUED WITH ILS APCH TO UNEVENTFUL LNDG.
