Narrative:
Departed cvg runway 27. When attempting to retract the landing gear, the left main landing gear would not retract. We returned to cvg and landed without incident. After taxiing to the gate, found the gear pin still installed in the left main gear. While performing the preflight, I could have been distracted when removing wheel chocks.

Title: LTT HAS TO RETURN LAND BECAUSE L LNDG GEAR PIN FORGOTTEN DURING PREFLT INSPECTION.
Narrative: DEPARTED CVG RWY 27. WHEN ATTEMPTING TO RETRACT THE LNDG GEAR, THE L MAIN LNDG GEAR WOULD NOT RETRACT. WE RETURNED TO CVG AND LANDED WITHOUT INCIDENT. AFTER TAXIING TO THE GATE, FOUND THE GEAR PIN STILL INSTALLED IN THE L MAIN GEAR. WHILE PERFORMING THE PREFLT, I COULD HAVE BEEN DISTRACTED WHEN REMOVING WHEEL CHOCKS.
