Narrative:
We were cleared for takeoff runway 6L at cyul but took off on runway 10 instead. Runway 6L and runway 10 (their approach ends) intersect at cyul. I was flying right seat (it was my leg) but the nosewheel steering is on the left side and therefore the taxiing into position is done from the left side. I remember seeing the sign for runway 6L as we were taxiing into position. I was doing the pretkof final item check. I took off after being cleared and noticed upon breaking ground that my leading indicator said 100 degrees instead of 60 degrees and I asked the PNF what he was indicating. He was also indicating 100 degrees. I immediately turned to 60 degrees for we were cleared runway heading up to 3000 ft. The lighting and signage is very poor where these runways intersect which was definitely a contributing factor. A simple look at the heading indicator before takeoff would have alerted us sooner. I have added this step to our pretkof (in position) checklist.

Title: NON ADHERENCE TO ATC CLRNC INSTRUCTION WRONG RWY TKOF.
Narrative: WE WERE CLRED FOR TKOF RWY 6L AT CYUL BUT TOOK OFF ON RWY 10 INSTEAD. RWY 6L AND RWY 10 (THEIR APCH ENDS) INTERSECT AT CYUL. I WAS FLYING R SEAT (IT WAS MY LEG) BUT THE NOSEWHEEL STEERING IS ON THE L SIDE AND THEREFORE THE TAXIING INTO POS IS DONE FROM THE L SIDE. I REMEMBER SEEING THE SIGN FOR RWY 6L AS WE WERE TAXIING INTO POS. I WAS DOING THE PRETKOF FINAL ITEM CHK. I TOOK OFF AFTER BEING CLRED AND NOTICED UPON BREAKING GND THAT MY LEADING INDICATOR SAID 100 DEGS INSTEAD OF 60 DEGS AND I ASKED THE PNF WHAT HE WAS INDICATING. HE WAS ALSO INDICATING 100 DEGS. I IMMEDIATELY TURNED TO 60 DEGS FOR WE WERE CLRED RWY HDG UP TO 3000 FT. THE LIGHTING AND SIGNAGE IS VERY POOR WHERE THESE RWYS INTERSECT WHICH WAS DEFINITELY A CONTRIBUTING FACTOR. A SIMPLE LOOK AT THE HDG INDICATOR BEFORE TKOF WOULD HAVE ALERTED US SOONER. I HAVE ADDED THIS STEP TO OUR PRETKOF (IN POS) CHKLIST.
