Narrative:
At our shop in slobe, az, we repaired an small aircraft X. At the same time we had in our shop an small aircraft Y. These aircraft both have non-turbocharged engines of 300 hp. The propellers for both of these aircraft were sent out to be overhauled. When they were returned to our shop they somehow were installed on the wrong aircraft. They are similar 3 bladed propellers. The propeller for the small aircraft X is an xyz and the propeller for the small aircraft Y is zyx. The small aircraft Y was sold to a company in indonesia and subsequently exported. The small aircraft X was sold to a dealer in ky. About jul of this yr, a man from a flying service called and said small aircraft X had an incorrect propeller installed on it. He said it was discovered during an annual inspection. This aircraft at this point must have been annualed at least 4 times since it left our shop. He said that he couldn't license the airplane at this time because this propeller wasn't approved for this serial number airplane on the type certificate data sheet for this aircraft. The corrective action taken is that we are supplying a correct propeller to the owner of small aircraft X.
