Narrative:
Unsafe left landing gear indication (green light out, status message, maintenance message). Go around and emergency landing executed. Gear was normal. First flight after maintenance 'C' check performed in hangar. Maintenance personnel thought there was a connection. Arrived lax with normal reserve fuel. Was surprised at fuel consumption while flying for 15 mins with gear extended and gear doors open. Very little time to trouble-shoot, brief cabin crew and land before fuel became critical.
