Narrative:
While at 4000 ft and radar vectors from departure, TA's were given to us on an aircraft which was at 12:30 position and 3500 ft according to our TCASII. The aircraft was climbing. Our TCASII gave out an RA advising us to climb, which we did, and advised ATC of such. We climbed up to 4400 ft until the RA was satisfied, and then descended back to 4000 ft once the traffic was clear. The other aircraft was indicated to have been within 200 ft vertically and was about 500 ft laterally.

Title: ON CLB OUT MLG RECEIVES TCASII RA. RESPONDS.
Narrative: WHILE AT 4000 FT AND RADAR VECTORS FROM DEP, TA'S WERE GIVEN TO US ON AN ACFT WHICH WAS AT 12:30 POS AND 3500 FT ACCORDING TO OUR TCASII. THE ACFT WAS CLBING. OUR TCASII GAVE OUT AN RA ADVISING US TO CLB, WHICH WE DID, AND ADVISED ATC OF SUCH. WE CLBED UP TO 4400 FT UNTIL THE RA WAS SATISFIED, AND THEN DSNDED BACK TO 4000 FT ONCE THE TFC WAS CLR. THE OTHER ACFT WAS INDICATED TO HAVE BEEN WITHIN 200 FT VERTICALLY AND WAS ABOUT 500 FT LATERALLY.
