Narrative:
While working the radar position at dal tracab, I experienced an icss lockout. No backups were available (out to maintenance). Problem lasted 12 mins. 1 hour later the situation reoccurred. Closed/combined the position on local control 118.7 (all backups, even 118.7 were out for several days). Our radios are always unreliable.

Title: ATC EQUIP PROB RADIO ICSS LOCKOUT.
Narrative: WHILE WORKING THE RADAR POS AT DAL TRACAB, I EXPERIENCED AN ICSS LOCKOUT. NO BACKUPS WERE AVAILABLE (OUT TO MAINT). PROB LASTED 12 MINS. 1 HR LATER THE SIT REOCCURRED. CLOSED/COMBINED THE POS ON LCL CTL 118.7 (ALL BACKUPS, EVEN 118.7 WERE OUT FOR SEVERAL DAYS). OUR RADIOS ARE ALWAYS UNRELIABLE.
