Narrative:
Before boarding, told that a 'vip' was traveling. Discovered vip was united states attorney general. After flight was completed, captain discovered that she was accompanied by 2 security personnel. It was then that we realized we must have had 2 armed individuals on the flight, and we had no notification to flight attendant or PIC. As this is a violation of our operations manual, I asked our operations to look into it. Later the next day, I was informed that the proper forms were filled out, that the agents were briefed to tell the flight attendant that they were armed, and that they did not do so. I have no idea what happened in the terminal. Still later the next day, I was told that the ramp supervisor did know that the escort was armed, and he told our flight attendant that we had '2 leg passenger in row 4,' ('leg' being the code word for 'armed individual'). Needless to say, no one told us, the flight crew, that that was the code, so the flight attendant thought he meant '2 passenger with hurt legs,' etc. Not only that, they did not situation in their assigned seats (flight attendant asked 2 folks in row 4 if their legs were ok). Also, of course, they did not display their yellow boarding passes to the flight attendant (as required).

Title: 2 GOV ARMED AGENTS FAILED TO PROPERLY IDENT THEMSELVES TO THE FLT ATTENDANT OR THE FLC.
Narrative: BEFORE BOARDING, TOLD THAT A 'VIP' WAS TRAVELING. DISCOVERED VIP WAS UNITED STATES ATTORNEY GENERAL. IT WAS THEN THAT WE REALIZED WE MUST HAVE HAD 2 ARMED INDIVIDUALS ON THE FLT, AND WE HAD NO NOTIFICATION TO FLT ATTENDANT OR PIC. AS THIS IS A VIOLATION OF OUR OPS MANUAL, I ASKED OUR OPS TO LOOK INTO IT. I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT HAPPENED IN THE TERMINAL. STILL LATER THE NEXT DAY, I WAS TOLD THAT THE RAMP SUPVR DID KNOW THAT THE ESCORT WAS ARMED, AND HE TOLD OUR FLT ATTENDANT THAT WE HAD '2 LEG PAX IN ROW 4,' ('LEG' BEING THE CODE WORD FOR 'ARMED INDIVIDUAL'). NEEDLESS TO SAY, NO ONE TOLD US, THE FLC, THAT THAT WAS THE CODE, SO THE FLT ATTENDANT THOUGHT HE MEANT '2 PAX WITH HURT LEGS,' ETC. NOT ONLY THAT, THEY DID NOT SIT IN THEIR ASSIGNED SEATS (FLT ATTENDANT ASKED 2 FOLKS IN ROW 4 IF THEIR LEGS WERE OK). ALSO, OF COURSE, THEY DID NOT DISPLAY THEIR YELLOW BOARDING PASSES TO THE FLT ATTENDANT (AS REQUIRED).
