Narrative:
While cruising at FL350 over syr we received a left engine overheat. Power on the left engine was reduced to idle and the overheat light extinguished. As a precaution, an emergency was declared with ZBW and we diverted to a safe landing at syr. The overht was caused by a blown thirteenth stage bleed air duct.
