Narrative:
I was on a training flight from smo to szp to smo in an small aircraft. In a preflight WX brief, I picked up the fdc NOTAMS for the temporary restr areas in the fim VOR area. Departed smo and proceeded west up the shoreline at 2500 ft. Upon 20 DME lax (clear class B) climbed to 6500 ft. Tuned in fim VOR. Kept a 20 DME from fim to avoid temporary restr area 5895. Visually navigating via shoreline, vtu VOR, east of pt. Mugu (R2519) then northwest through oxr and cma. Before reaching vtu VOR (OTS), I spotted an small transport maneuvering in the area. Upon passing the aircraft it turned and came up beside me at 4-6 O'clock then turned and headed northeast. At this point, I listened to cma ATIS which stated to enter and depart the area to/from the north, and to avoid the temporary restr areas to the east. Now I proceeded northwest of cma, over szp, north of fim VOR then through bur to smo. Upon arrival at smo, I again picked up the fdc NOTAMS on the duat. There were 8 NOTAMS printed of temporary restr areas. The 3RD one I read was for fim and R5895, the next 2 were for pdz and jli. I was familiar with R5895 and assumed there were no other restrs in the fim area. Reading further was R5968 which indicated that I was in violation of far 91.137A(2). Through my lack of a thorough preflight briefing, I missed this NOTAM. I had no intention of flying through this airspace. If I would have known, I would have avoided the area. I do not feel I interfered with any of the activities in the area, but I do accept responsibility for it and assure it will not happen again.

Title: SMA PENETRATES TEMPORARY RESTR AREA.
Narrative: I WAS ON A TRAINING FLT FROM SMO TO SZP TO SMO IN AN SMA. IN A PREFLT WX BRIEF, I PICKED UP THE FDC NOTAMS FOR THE TEMPORARY RESTR AREAS IN THE FIM VOR AREA. DEPARTED SMO AND PROCEEDED W UP THE SHORELINE AT 2500 FT. UPON 20 DME LAX (CLEAR CLASS B) CLBED TO 6500 FT. TUNED IN FIM VOR. KEPT A 20 DME FROM FIM TO AVOID TEMPORARY RESTR AREA 5895. VISUALLY NAVING VIA SHORELINE, VTU VOR, E OF PT. MUGU (R2519) THEN NW THROUGH OXR AND CMA. BEFORE REACHING VTU VOR (OTS), I SPOTTED AN SMT MANEUVERING IN THE AREA. UPON PASSING THE ACFT IT TURNED AND CAME UP BESIDE ME AT 4-6 O'CLOCK THEN TURNED AND HEADED NE. AT THIS POINT, I LISTENED TO CMA ATIS WHICH STATED TO ENTER AND DEPART THE AREA TO/FROM THE N, AND TO AVOID THE TEMPORARY RESTR AREAS TO THE E. NOW I PROCEEDED NW OF CMA, OVER SZP, N OF FIM VOR THEN THROUGH BUR TO SMO. UPON ARR AT SMO, I AGAIN PICKED UP THE FDC NOTAMS ON THE DUAT. THERE WERE 8 NOTAMS PRINTED OF TEMPORARY RESTR AREAS.
