Narrative:
Air carrier X, an medium large transport cleared direct oveto intersection approximately 20 northeast of las climbing out of 11600 ft. Already on ZLA frequency when traffic was issued to air carrier Y, an small transport en route on V-394, sebound at 12000. Aircraft were approximately separated 4 mi laterally. Air carrier Y was issued a vector away from air carrier X. Air carrier Y subsequently reported traffic in sight. Air carrier Y was then told to maintain visual separation and proceed on course. Air carrier X was observed to descend. Air carrier Y passed approximately 1 mi east of air carrier X.

Narrative: ACR X, AN MLG CLRED DIRECT OVETO INTXN APPROX 20 NE OF LAS CLBING OUT OF 11600 FT. ALREADY ON ZLA FREQ WHEN TFC WAS ISSUED TO ACR Y, AN SMT ENRTE ON V-394, SEBOUND AT 12000. ACFT WERE APPROX SEPARATED 4 MI LATERALLY. ACR Y WAS ISSUED A VECTOR AWAY FROM ACR X. ACR Y SUBSEQUENTLY RPTED TFC IN SIGHT. ACR Y WAS THEN TOLD TO MAINTAIN VISUAL SEPARATION AND PROCEED ON COURSE. ACR X WAS OBSERVED TO DSND. ACR Y PASSED APPROX 1 MI E OF ACR X.
