Narrative:

I started taxiing from GA ramp to runway 29 with clearance while listening to the ground frequency for my flight to bangor to visit bangor FSS. Instead of turning to the left at taxiway a/C intersection, I taxied straight along taxiway C and crossed holding line for runway 29/11 and ended up at runway 29/11. After finding myself in the runway and seeing another aircraft positioned and holding at runway 29, I expedited a 180 degree turn as fast as possible then cleared the runway in 5 seconds. The ground controller only found me coming back from the active runway at maximum speed and he shouted at me asking where I wanted to go. Then he filed the pilot deviation. The primary cause of this incident is pilot error. I was overconfident simply because pwm was the home base airport, despite the first time taxiing at night time solo at the pwm. I was too occupied with setting the heading indicator and adjusting the altimeter while taxiing too fast. Secondary cause of this incident is ATC's negligence. The ground controller was not cautiously watching me after clearing me to taxi to the runway 29. Third cause of this incident is the airport design. Some controllers told me the same kind of incidents have happened several times at the exact same intersection. The length between the intersection to runway 29/11 is too short to stop the taxiing aircraft. Regarding to my medical certificate, first I was issued the third class medical certificate without any limitations. Subsequently I was issued the second class medical certificate containing limitations including night flying prohibition. I believed because the flight in question was private operation that the previously issued third class medical certificate was still valid. My suggestions to prevent this kind of incident are first, above all, the pilot must be more cautious. Second, ATC needs training and let them do their work, exactly as they are supposed to do it! They are there to prevent any accidents/incidents, not to find somebody and shout at some pilot who was trying to get out of the way without any help. It would have been helpful to me if I have been coached rather than screamed at. It made me more nervous. Third, taxiway should not lead directly to the runway. It should be t-shaped to avoid any further incidents.

Title: TAXIED ONTO CLRED RWY WITHOUT CLRNC.

Narrative: I STARTED TAXIING FROM GA RAMP TO RWY 29 WITH CLRNC WHILE LISTENING TO THE GND FREQ FOR MY FLT TO BANGOR TO VISIT BANGOR FSS. INSTEAD OF TURNING TO THE L AT TXWY A/C INTXN, I TAXIED STRAIGHT ALONG TXWY C AND CROSSED HOLDING LINE FOR RWY 29/11 AND ENDED UP AT RWY 29/11. AFTER FINDING MYSELF IN THE RWY AND SEEING ANOTHER ACFT POSITIONED AND HOLDING AT RWY 29, I EXPEDITED A 180 DEG TURN AS FAST AS POSSIBLE THEN CLRED THE RWY IN 5 SECONDS. THE GND CTLR ONLY FOUND ME COMING BACK FROM THE ACTIVE RWY AT MAX SPD AND HE SHOUTED AT ME ASKING WHERE I WANTED TO GO. THEN HE FILED THE PLTDEV. THE PRIMARY CAUSE OF THIS INCIDENT IS PLT ERROR. I WAS OVERCONFIDENT SIMPLY BECAUSE PWM WAS THE HOME BASE ARPT, DESPITE THE FIRST TIME TAXIING AT NIGHT TIME SOLO AT THE PWM. I WAS TOO OCCUPIED WITH SETTING THE HDG INDICATOR AND ADJUSTING THE ALTIMETER WHILE TAXIING TOO FAST. SECONDARY CAUSE OF THIS INCIDENT IS ATC'S NEGLIGENCE. THE GND CTLR WAS NOT CAUTIOUSLY WATCHING ME AFTER CLRING ME TO TAXI TO THE RWY 29. THIRD CAUSE OF THIS INCIDENT IS THE ARPT DESIGN. SOME CTLRS TOLD ME THE SAME KIND OF INCIDENTS HAVE HAPPENED SEVERAL TIMES AT THE EXACT SAME INTXN. THE LENGTH BTWN THE INTXN TO RWY 29/11 IS TOO SHORT TO STOP THE TAXIING ACFT. I BELIEVED BECAUSE THE FLT IN QUESTION WAS PVT OP THAT THE PREVIOUSLY ISSUED THIRD CLASS MEDICAL CERTIFICATE WAS STILL VALID. MY SUGGESTIONS TO PREVENT THIS KIND OF INCIDENT ARE FIRST, ABOVE ALL, THE PLT MUST BE MORE CAUTIOUS. SECOND, ATC NEEDS TRAINING AND LET THEM DO THEIR WORK, EXACTLY AS THEY ARE SUPPOSED TO DO IT! THEY ARE THERE TO PREVENT ANY ACCIDENTS/INCIDENTS, NOT TO FIND SOMEBODY AND SHOUT AT SOME PLT WHO WAS TRYING TO GET OUT OF THE WAY WITHOUT ANY HELP. IT WOULD HAVE BEEN HELPFUL TO ME IF I HAVE BEEN COACHED RATHER THAN SCREAMED AT. IT MADE ME MORE NERVOUS. THIRD, TXWY SHOULD NOT LEAD DIRECTLY TO THE RWY. IT SHOULD BE T-SHAPED TO AVOID ANY FURTHER INCIDENTS.
