Narrative:
Passenger in lavatory on landing. Too airsick to return to seat. Considerations for continuing with land rather than going around. 1) wind was almost calm for touchdown. Earlier wind was crosswind gusting to 30 KTS. 2) lax was landing to the east due to strong santa ana wind conditions. Going around would have put us back in moderate turbulence. 3) going around would have placed us in emergency fuel situation prior to another landing.
Original NASA ASRS Text
Title: ACR LGT LANDS WHILE A PAX OCCUPIES LAVATORY.
Narrative: PAX IN LAVATORY ON LNDG. TOO AIRSICK TO RETURN TO SEAT. CONSIDERATIONS FOR CONTINUING WITH LAND RATHER THAN GOING AROUND. 1) WIND WAS ALMOST CALM FOR TOUCHDOWN. EARLIER WIND WAS XWIND GUSTING TO 30 KTS. 2) LAX WAS LNDG TO THE E DUE TO STRONG SANTA ANA WIND CONDITIONS. GOING AROUND WOULD HAVE PUT US BACK IN MODERATE TURB. 3) GOING AROUND WOULD HAVE PLACED US IN EMER FUEL SIT PRIOR TO ANOTHER LNDG.
