Narrative:
Mistook taxiway O-9 for taxiway O-8 due to inadequate airport lighting, and joined outer taxiway at O-10 due T aircraft parked at O-9. Ground controller instructions had been taxi to runway 21R via O-8 outer. Mistook O-9 for O-8 and had to proceed north to O-10 to gain access to outer due to aircraft parked on o- 9. Unable to resolve with ground control at the time due to frequency congestion. Suggest dtw procure adequate airport lighting and another ground control frequency.

Narrative: MISTOOK TXWY O-9 FOR TXWY O-8 DUE TO INADEQUATE ARPT LIGHTING, AND JOINED OUTER TXWY AT O-10 DUE T ACFT PARKED AT O-9. GND CTLR INSTRUCTIONS HAD BEEN TAXI TO RWY 21R VIA O-8 OUTER. MISTOOK O-9 FOR O-8 AND HAD TO PROCEED N TO O-10 TO GAIN ACCESS TO OUTER DUE TO ACFT PARKED ON O- 9. UNABLE TO RESOLVE WITH GND CTL AT THE TIME DUE TO FREQ CONGESTION.
