Narrative:
During cruise flight, low voltage light came on. It was determined that an alternator failure had occurred. We returned to indianapolis and declared an emergency so priority would be given due to low electrical power.

Title: AN SMA CREW LOST ITS ALTERNATOR.
Narrative: DURING CRUISE FLT, LOW VOLTAGE LIGHT CAME ON. IT WAS DETERMINED THAT AN ALTERNATOR FAILURE HAD OCCURRED. WE RETURNED TO INDIANAPOLIS AND DECLARED AN EMER SO PRIORITY WOULD BE GIVEN DUE TO LOW ELECTRICAL PWR.
