Narrative:
Passenger made comment as to de-icing of aircraft before departure. Supplemental information from acn 259425: a passenger expressed concern to a flight attendant about the necessity to de-ice the aircraft. The wings and aircraft surfaces were clean and did not require de-icing. At pushback, the passenger was pointing to the wings asking if we were going to deice the wing, he knew the far's and he was a pilot. The pushback was stopped and the jetway was reattached. A passenger service agent (psa) supervisor was requested to meet the aircraft. The psa supervisor talked to the passenger. This passenger was comfortable with the condition of the aircraft and elected to remain on board. A management pilot from iah was requested to meet the aircraft and talk to the passenger. In iah, the passenger came to the cockpit and apologized for the misunderstanding. His intent was to advise us of any change in the wing condition prior to takeoff.
