Narrative:
An air carrier light transport inbound to btr approximately 25 mi northwest of airport at the same time an small aircraft was working between 3000-4000 ft in the same area. The light transport was descending through 5300 ft and was told he was passing over small aircraft traffic at 4000 (VFR). The light transport pilot said his TCASII was going crazy and that he saw an small aircraft coming towards him in a loop. The small aircraft reported he was at 4000 ft and the 2 aircraft passed over each other 1000 ft apart. I don't know why the light transport TCASII went crazy, as he said, may be because the small aircraft was in a loop. However, the projected paths and descent rate would keep the aircraft separated, which was what happened. As the light transport was directly over the small aircraft at 5000 ft, and the small aircraft reported at 4000 ft keeping in mind the small aircraft was VFR.

Title: ACR IN DSCNT TO 5000 GIVEN TFC ON SMA BELOW HIM AT 4000 DOING AEROBATICS. SMA SET OFF TCASII OF ACR ACFT WHILE DOING A LOOP.
Narrative: AN ACR LTT INBOUND TO BTR APPROX 25 MI NW OF ARPT AT THE SAME TIME AN SMA WAS WORKING BTWN 3000-4000 FT IN THE SAME AREA. THE SMA RPTED HE WAS AT 4000 FT AND THE 2 ACFT PASSED OVER EACH OTHER 1000 FT APART. I DON'T KNOW WHY THE LTT TCASII WENT CRAZY, AS HE SAID, MAY BE BECAUSE THE SMA WAS IN A LOOP. HOWEVER, THE PROJECTED PATHS AND DSCNT RATE WOULD KEEP THE ACFT SEPARATED, WHICH WAS WHAT HAPPENED.
