Narrative:
Captain flying. Approach controller vectors us in high and close for ILS 26R at atl. Captain stays right of localizer (full scale) but continues to descend. Twice I call we are well right, of course. I switch to ATC tower as captain descends through 2000 ft. GPWS sounds 'terrain.' tower advised we are 'well right of course' and 'continue(?!!).' shortly we break out, captain makes hard left and lands.
