Narrative:
Our company has recently received FAA authorization to fly super 80's on limited overwater rtes. We were flying from lga to pbi and filed along ar-7 and ar-1. Well, not all of the limited overwater aircraft have omega's. Consequently all we had to use were NDB's/ADF's for navigation, and to make matters worse, only one of 'em. What actually happened was that ATC wound up giving us drift killed vectors for the entire flight down to pbi. We (on board) did our best to maintain course and centerline by killing the drift, xchking the couple of vors we could (i.e., chs, sav, craig, etc). However, ZJX and ZMA still wound up vectoring us the entire way down along the coast. For the return flight (pbi to lga) I refused to fly over water and insisted upon going up north via the overland route.
