Narrative:
A dc-9 eastbound at FL290 asked if there was converging traffic. The answer was only the aircraft 10 O'clock and 2 mi at FL280, a wbound HS25. The dc-9 reported that aircraft on TCASII was at FL285. I, the controller, asked HS25 to verify at FL280 and altimeter 29.92 set. He, the HS25, said affirmative. The dc-9 advised he climbed 500 ft answering an RA. Both aircraft were at FL280 and FL290 standard separation. There was never a loss of required separation or was there a deviation of the FL280 traffic's altitude.

Title: ACR X TCASII RA CLB FROM HS25 WITH STANDARD VERT SEPARATION.
Narrative: A DC-9 EBOUND AT FL290 ASKED IF THERE WAS CONVERGING TFC. THE ANSWER WAS ONLY THE ACFT 10 O'CLOCK AND 2 MI AT FL280, A WBOUND HS25. THE DC-9 RPTED THAT ACFT ON TCASII WAS AT FL285. I, THE CTLR, ASKED HS25 TO VERIFY AT FL280 AND ALTIMETER 29.92 SET. HE, THE HS25, SAID AFFIRMATIVE. THE DC-9 ADVISED HE CLBED 500 FT ANSWERING AN RA. BOTH ACFT WERE AT FL280 AND FL290 STANDARD SEPARATION. THERE WAS NEVER A LOSS OF REQUIRED SEPARATION OR WAS THERE A DEV OF THE FL280 TFC'S ALT.
