Air carrier X IFR in cirrus at FL330, received TA from aircraft Y at 11 O'clock and 7 mi descending treat at + 500 ft altitude delta. ZLA gave 20 degree right turn at 5 mi to TA. At 3 mi to TA - RA of 'descend'. Followed RA while continuing 20 degree right turn given by ATC. 'Clear of conflict' and bottomed out at FL316. Climbed and maintained FL330. Never obtained visual contact.
