Narrative:

Got a 1/8 inch of rime ice on approach into stl. Upon arrival, FAA maintenance inspector came on board to check logbook and aircraft. I became distracted with inspector. I didn't call for deice of the leading edge of tail surface. I remembered after takeoff stl. No control or lift problems occurred, but failure to get the job done is not why I'm here. I should have been taking care of business. Short turn around time with special procedures don't lend themselves to distraction. Need more diligence on my part.
