Narrative:
Picked up ice on ILS runway 9L to phl. Windshield iced over and defroster only allowed minimum visibility forward. Landed without incident, but runway and txwys had 5 inches of snow. Because of lack of forward visibility, I took a long time to clear active runway. Airliner on final had to go around. I should have turned on defroster before encountering ice.
