Narrative:
I was working the en route center position for aircraft departing the san francisco bay climbing to their requested altitude to the southeast. The approach control handed off 2 aircraft climbing sebound to FL230 at 250 KTS that were exactly 5 NM apart, our minimum separation at the same altitude. During the confusion of trying to increase and insure the separation between the 2 departing jets, I inadvertently turned a departing turboprop aircraft in the approach airspace without prior coordination. This ultimately led to less than standard separation between the air carrier X and another air carrier Y departing the sjc airport. This problem was discovered when the 'conflict alert' went off. Corrective action to prevent this from happening in the future is for me to coordinate (obviously) prior to initiating action to an aircraft in someone else's airspace. Supplemental information from acn 264660: I was working the associates position at sector 11. I observed a possible conflict with air carrier Y and air carrier X. I advised the radar controller at sector 11 of the possible situation.
Original NASA ASRS Text
Title: ARTCC TRACON INTERFAC COORD NON COMPLIANCE WITH LOA. ACR X HAD LTSS FROM ACR Y. SYS ERROR.
Narrative: I WAS WORKING THE ENRTE CTR POS FOR ACFT DEPARTING THE SAN FRANCISCO BAY CLBING TO THEIR REQUESTED ALT TO THE SE. THE APCH CTL HANDED OFF 2 ACFT CLBING SEBOUND TO FL230 AT 250 KTS THAT WERE EXACTLY 5 NM APART, OUR MINIMUM SEPARATION AT THE SAME ALT. DURING THE CONFUSION OF TRYING TO INCREASE AND INSURE THE SEPARATION BTWN THE 2 DEPARTING JETS, I INADVERTENTLY TURNED A DEPARTING TURBOPROP ACFT IN THE APCH AIRSPACE WITHOUT PRIOR COORD. THIS ULTIMATELY LED TO LTSS BTWN THE ACR X AND ANOTHER ACR Y DEPARTING THE SJC ARPT. THIS PROB WAS DISCOVERED WHEN THE 'CONFLICT ALERT' WENT OFF. CORRECTIVE ACTION TO PREVENT THIS FROM HAPPENING IN THE FUTURE IS FOR ME TO COORDINATE (OBVIOUSLY) PRIOR TO INITIATING ACTION TO AN ACFT IN SOMEONE ELSE'S AIRSPACE. SUPPLEMENTAL INFO FROM ACN 264660: I WAS WORKING THE ASSOCIATES POS AT SECTOR 11. I OBSERVED A POSSIBLE CONFLICT WITH ACR Y AND ACR X. I ADVISED THE RADAR CTLR AT SECTOR 11 OF THE POSSIBLE SIT.
