Narrative:
Received ferry flight permit to fly aircraft to yip airport, 5 days after the flight was finished, I was advised that the aircraft should not have been ferried. A mechanic at the chester airport indicated that the aircraft should not have been operated. Callback conversation with reporter revealed the following information: reporter states that he was informed after his flight that 'someone' had indicated the flight was not legal. Difficult for him to understand why not since ferry permit was issued to him from the local FSDO office. Reason for the permit was that aircraft was out of annual. He has heard nothing from the FAA but was advised by counsel to file this report.
